Momentum appoints Director of European Business Development

Momentum Worldwide are delighted to announce the appointment of Luke D’Arcy former Partnership Director at Virgin Racing for the newly created role of Director, European Business Development.

In his new role, Luke will be responsible for driving new business across the Europe region. Focusing on international marketing communications needs, Luke will report to Julian Ingram, EVP & Managing Director Momentum UK Group.

Luke was previously at Momentum and left in 2005 to become Group Marketing Director at Iris where he looked after global new business, PR and marketing. He was instrumental in winning international clients like ING, Hertz, BMW Mini, VW and Diageo.

Luke was most recently at Virgin Racing as Partnership Director, helping secure the funding for the team through both Virgin and non Virgin companies, ensuring the team were on the grid for the 2010 season.

Momentum UK group under its new leadership enjoyed a strong 2009 bucking the recessionary trend winning such clients as Subway, Nestle confectionery, Carlsberg and Hamelin Paperbrands, as part of a record 70% conversion rate. Luke’s appointment compliments the existing Momentum Domestic New Business team, where Caroline Barker will continue in her successful role as UK New Business Director.
