LONDON –Momentum are activating Ricoh’s sponsorship of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Barclays World Tour Finals to be held for the very first time at the London O2 from the 22nd – 29th November.
Ricoh is a global technology leader specializing in the office solutions and production printing markets with a strong heritage in customer focused technical excellence and an equally strong passion for its corporate social responsibility. The brand has a strong heritage in partnerships, believing in the importance of team work, both in business, life and sport. As such, Ricoh is proud to sponsor many European sporting events, such as the Ricoh Women’s British Open, FIS Ski Jumping Word Cup and the ATP World Tour.
Only the world’s top ranked eight players compete at the ATP World Tour Finals. Featuring a unique round-robin format, the ATP World Tour Finals will see all players playing a minimum of three matches each as they battle for a spot in the knockout semi-finals and beyond.
Momentum has brought Ricoh’s sponsorship to life at the O2 and introduced Ricoh’s brand statement ‘Moving Ideas Forward’ along with integrating Ricoh’s key messages into customer events. They’ve created a new look and feel, rebranding marketing collateral along with branding all the VIP areas including the Ricoh Lounge at the O2 arena. On court branding includes the Ricoh umpire chair, speed of serve display and on TV, player challenges brought to you by Ricoh. Momentum also created the Ricoh Performance Connector, an interactive experience for those guests at the O2 venue. Tennis imagery and integrated messaging is throughout all touch points including email invites, guest packs, fact cards and player guides. Other touch points across the fullcustomer journey include office branding, a fully branded fleet of London cabs and a Ricoh hosted reception for the world’s media present during the ATP World Tour Finals.
In March 2009, Momentum created the strategic and creative direction for Ricoh’s wider ‘Moving Ideas Forward’ campaign which has been implemented across Europe during 2009.
Simon White, Managing Partner at Momentum London said “With the ATP World Tour Finals being such a high profile event featuring the likes of Federer, Nadal, Murray and Djokovic going head to head, it’s an extremely exciting platform for us to activate Ricoh’s brand. Working with Ricoh and implementing an integrated strategy across different touch points is a great culmination to the year.”
Bart Somsen, Ricoh Europe Brand Strategy Manager added, “Ricoh and the ATP World Tour share similar brand values and attributes and this is the perfect global platform for us to communicate a fully integrated sponsorship activation program. We’re delighted with Momentum’s strategic and creative work that will propel Ricoh forward during the next year.”
